New Practice for Reporting methods for ongoing monitoring for RTW workers

1. Scope

The job classification and metrics developed in WK80655/WK80656 will be used to generate a reporting method that would enable all stake holders (Employers, physicians) to monitor progress of workers. In this standard, we will focus on the physical demands that will be measured on the workers and compare against limits set by Physicians.

Milestone 1) Development of report that uses measured physical demands of workers and compare with physicians’ recommendations 2) Identify at-risk workers that can be used my key-decision makers (i.e., healthcare providers, insurer/employers) in the RTW process – this focuses intervention planning across multiple systems and stakeholders.

Keywords

Return to work; physician limit; job analysis

Rationale

There is a need for objective data and methods to monitor progress of injured worker as well as to guaranteeing that they stay under limits prescribed by physicians.
The data will be used by employers, insurers as well as physicians.

The title and scope are in draft form and are under development within this ASTM Committee.
