Revision of A320/A320M-21a Standard Specification for Alloy-Steel and Stainless Steel Bolting for Low-Temperature Service

It was found that stress relieving L7M bolting, within 50F of the original tempering temperature, more effectively reduces measurable work hardening in the deformed zone of roll threaded product than stress relieving at the minimum tempering temperature. Data supporting this statement was presented at the 11/17 ASTM conference.
