(1)The scope of the revision to E2885 Standard Specification for Handheld Point Chemical Vapor Detectors (HPCVD) for Homeland Security Applications is to update and expand upon the information provided in the document with respect to new and evolving threats, new and evolving integration and use platforms, such as for UAV, UGV and mobile applications, new detection and identification instruments, new and expanded threat agent detection and identification capabilities, and the new and evolving communications and information security related requirements that need to be addressed in the multiple application environments.
