New Guide for Standard for Spaceport Standardization & Classification
1. Scope
To provide guidelines for a spaceport to provide information about itself in a common format that covers non-proprietary information about the spaceport. To provide spaceport customers a standardized guide about the capabilities and features of any spaceport.

Rationale
There is no standard, commercially available nor from any government, for describing the capabilities, features, and limits of any launch site. As such, it is difficult for any spaceport user or interested party to understand the capabilities of any spaceport. Often when that information is made available, it is in a different format from other spaceports making it difficult to compare.
The title and scope are in draft form and are under development within this ASTM Committee.
