New Specification for Selection and Application of Cryogenic Tank Insulation Systems on LNG-Fueled Ships

1. Scope

Develop an installation guideline for installing cryogenic insulation materials on new vessels with cryogenic tanks and/or using LNG fuel. Additionally to make the standard able to unify both the Canadian and US flag administrations language concerning SOLAS specifically addressing Fire Resistance, Flame Spread rating and Self Extinguishing definitions and applications.
