Revision of C1728-20 Standard Specification for Flexible Aerogel Insulation
Rationale
The C1728 standard is an active this work item will cover multiple revisions to the standard that came out of the spring 2020 virtual task group meeting. 1) Introduction of a new Type, Class & Category of material. 2)Two additional thickness call-outs in Table 2 for Type III Grade 1A materials. 3) Modification to the Fungi resistance requirements to industry standard protocols. 4) Removing the term mean from the table one thermal conductivity reference. 5) Modification to the preconditioning statement for the water absorption performance criteria in Table 1. 6) Language around the calibration limits to C518 heat flow meter testing.
