1. Scope
To provide a basis document that facilities, facility managers or designee can rely upon regarding a quality assurance and quality control program for the procurement and long term maintenance of diesel fuel used to by Emergency Diesel Generators during periods of loss of off-site power.

Rationale
A need exists in a segment of the industry for a Standard Practice that provides the basis and rationale for a quality assurance/quality control program that will assist users that purchase and maintain diesel fuel for long (extended) periods of time ensure the reliability of the diesel fuel when called upon by emergency diesel generators during a loss of off-site power.
The title and scope are in draft form and are under development within this ASTM Committee.
