New Test Method for Field Testing Uplift Resistance of Adhered Membrane Roofing Systems

1. Scope

1.1.This field test method covers the resistance of adhered membrane roofing systems to uplift pressure. It applies to roofing systems which utilize membranes that are adhered over substrates that are mechanically fastened or ad-hered with adhesives. 1.2.The values stated in SI units are to be regarded as the standard. The Imperial values given in parentheses are for in-formation only. 1.3.This standard does not purport to address all of the safety concerns, if any, associated with its use. It is the respon-sibility of the user of this standard to establish appropriate safety and health practices and determine the ap-plicability of regulatory limitations prior to use.
