New Guide for Design, Selection, and Application of Vehicle Security Barriers
1. Scope
Guide Users through a systematic selection process to establish a protective barrier system around facilities requiring protection from unauthorized vehicle intrusions into protected or restricted areas.

Rationale
U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has requested that several security UFC documents be converted to ASTM standards as part of UFC Conversion Initiative. Conversion of the UFC 4-022-02 Selection and Application of Active Vehicle Barriers into an ASTM standard with orientation toward a larger target user community will provide needed guidance in selection and application of Active Vehicle Barriers to a much larger group that does not have such a guide at the present time.
The title and scope are in draft form and are under development within this ASTM Committee.
