Rationale
There are no industry consensus standards for interface and testing of automated entry control systems with active vehicle barrier systems that are often used to prevent unauthorized vehicles from proceeding through entry control locations. Such systems are often used to control vehicle access to government facilities, military installations; and they are becoming more common for high security commercial and industrial installations - such as chemical facilities and refineries.
The title and scope are in draft form and are under development within this ASTM Committee.
