Rationale

The Adventure based Segment of the Amusement Industry has grown exponentially over the past 3 decades. Among the flow of new offerings, Land Based Obstacle Courses have flourished in their assembly of man-made and natural obstacles to challenge the physical condition or participants. This standard is meant to remove obvious hazardous conditions by the logical application of exiting standards and model codes.

The title and scope are in draft form and are under development within this ASTM Committee.
