The current method of density determination requires the samples to be heated at high temperature prior to obtaining dry weight. Drying samples at high temperature (110 C)can effect the integrity and could possibly damage the samples. Drying samples at high temperature is not practical for samples that are needed for performance testing. Samples that are dried at high temperature cannot be used for performance testing. In this ballot several drying options are provided for density determination of samples that are going to be used for performance testing and samples that will have to be sealed due to high water absorption.
