New Test Method for Standard Specification for Human Impact and Fall-through Resistance of Unit Skylights and Related Products Used on Skylight Openings

1. Scope

This specification covers the assessment of the fall-through resistance performance of unit skylights and related products that could be exposed to unintentional impact from a human being. It is further stipulated that skylight openings intended to be protected by covered manufactured products are limited to openings in roofs sloped at a maximum of four vertical units to twelve horizontal units on non-residential buildings. This specification includes test method details necessary for defining product performance in a standardized manner.
