Rationale

The ceramic enamel industry (architectural glass; appliance glass; automotive glass; and others) uses this standard almost exclusively. The replacement standard suggested does not reference 45° as an allowed angle. The ceramic enamel industry users need to be able to reference an active 45° standard. Plus, it lends credence to the values they report.
