Rationale

It was noticed that the angle definitions in Appendix A are not properly represented in figure A3.1 and figure A3.2. Section A3.3.1 specifies the angle between opposing faces of the Vickers indenter as 136o 0’ and Figure A3.1 shows an incorrect angle of 135o. Section A3.3.2 specifies the included longitudinal edge angles as 172o 30’ and 130o 0’ and figure A3.2 shows the angle as 136o (the 0’ is dropped). This ballot item corrects the errors and omissions in figure A3.1 and figure A3.2.
