Rationale

The rationale for the change is as follows: (A) The existing X1.6.1.2 text is currently mandatory language (‘shall’) which makes it incorrectly located in the non-mandatory Appendix. The three paragraphs X1.6.1.1 through X1.6.1.3 are symbiotic in content and need to remain together. Therefore it is proposed to relocate these three paragraphs within C926 to the Annex (Mandatory Information) Section A2.2., which is already entitled “Provisions for Drainage Behind Exterior Plaster” (B) Titles “X1.6 Design Considerations”, and “X1.6.1 Provisions for Drainage Behind Exterior Plaster Base Systems:” become redundant and unnecessary once relocated to the Annex A2. Design Considerations and are deleted. (C) The text of X1.6.1 and X1.6.3 is revised into mandatory language as is required for an Annex.
