This standard includes general recommendations for forensic science service providers (FSSPs) regarding testimony in forensic science as well as parameters for testimony training, the evaluation of testimony, and testimony monitoring programs. This standard is intended for use by competent forensic science practitioners with the requisite formal education, discipline-specific training (see E2917 and E2326) and demonstrated proficiency to perform forensic casework. This standard provides minimum recommendations for FSPs offering expert testimony regarding analysis, results, and opinions; it applies to criminal, civil or regulatory proceedings
