About this Course

Part 2 of Bloodborne Pathogen (BBP) Exposure Control explains industry best practices to prevent the spread of BBP in the workplace. An emphasis is placed on treating all body fluids as potentially infectious material.

Additional topics include understanding the different types of personal protective equipment that help protect against exposure to BBP, and the proper way to don, doff, and dispose of contaminated gloves.

Learning Outcomes

Upon completing this course, Learners will be able to:

• Develop an understanding of best practices to prevent the spread of Bloodborne Pathogens (BBP)
• Identify the different types of PPE to wear to protect against BBP exposure
• Don and doff gloves safely to avoid exposure
