About the Course
As construction materials testing (CMT) laboratory and/or field personnel, you are required to perform various mathematical calculations. This course introduces laboratory and field personnel to common symbols and mathematical calculations.
Learning Outcomes
By the end of this course, you will be able to:
- Solve problems using the order of operations
- Explain and apply the concept of rounding
- Determine the percent of a given number
- Calculate the average of a given set of number
- Explain and apply the concept of conversion
- Explain how station markers are used in field stationing
- Explain the concept of random numbers
Audience
This course is intended for new Construction Materials Technicians who need to learn the basic math concepts applicable to testing, or as a refresher for experienced professionals.
