This course covers three methods for the reduction of large samples of aggregate to the appropriate size for testing employing techniques that are intended to minimize variations in measured characteristics between the test samples and the large sample.

- Recall the procedures for Method A–Mechanical Splitter, Method B–Quartering, and Method C–Miniature Stockpile Sampling (Damp Fine Aggregate Only).
