About the Program
The global plastics industry continues to be a dynamic, rapidly growing, and extensively diversified business. The domestic US production capacity of all plastics in 2017 was over 110 billion pounds. Plastics are found in a myriad of applications including packaging, building and construction products, automotive and other types of transportation components, medical and dental devices, and aerospace composites. Each material and fabricated product demands a series of quality control / quality assurance procedures at every stage of the manufacturing process.
The program includes the following courses:
Audience
The intent of this program is to provide basic information on the testing of plastics. The program is comprised of four courses and geared toward the following audience:

- Materials Engineers
- Technicians

- Newly- Appointment Laboratory Supervisors
- Quality Control Analyst
- Shop Foremen
- Any others who may work with test data
Certificate and CEUs
CEUs: 0.5 or 5 PDH
Certificate: A certificate of completion is available upon successful completion of the course and an 80% or higher score on the quiz.
