Open forum review of participant-supplied data, control charts, and work process information versus D6299 requirement and expectation based on technical interpretation of the requirements specified in EPA Tier III regulation CFR 80.47.
Former or current participants of the "Statistics in ASTM Standard Test Method Development, Application, and Quality Assurance Course" sponsored by ASTM D02 and listed on the ASTM Website, or, those with a good working knowledge of Statistical Control Charts as applied to Test Method Performance Quality Assurance monitoring.
This is a hands-on workshop offered to those wishing to have a Cold Eye review by ASTM D6299 Subject Matter Expert on their current control chart data and work process, with a focus on EPA Tier III SQC compliance readiness.

Duration will depend on number of participants, which will be capped on a first-come-first-serve basis until maximum limit is reached based on a one-day workshop completion target.
This workshop is intentionally scheduled to take place immediately on the day after the Statistics in ASTM Standard Test Method Development, Application, and Quality Assurance Course.
Alex T. Lau, instructor of the "Statistics in ASTM Standard Test Method Development, Application, and Quality Assurance Course". He is the Chair of ASTM D02.94 Subcommittee on Quality Assurance and Statistics, D02.01.0B on Precision, and Vice Chair of Subcommittee D02.25 on Validation of Process Stream Analyzer Systems. He led the API Test Method Work Group effort in the formulation of a collective API response to CFR80.47.
He is the recipient of the ASTM International Award of Merit, ASTM D02 Scroll of Achievement, and several Awards of Excellence. Lau was cited "for outstanding contributions in Committee D02 on Petroleum Products and Lubricants and Coordinating Subcommittee D02.94 on Quality Assurance and Statistics toward standards development, both as an individual contributor and leader."
He graduated from the University of Toronto with a Bachelor's degree in Applied Science and Engineering Physics. Outside of ASTM International, Lau is a member of the Professional Engineers of Ontario (PEO) and the American Society for Quality (ASQ).
He is a registered Professional Engineer in Ontario, Canada, and an ASQ Certified Quality Engineer. He is also the Convener of ISO TC28 / WG2 on Statistics.
