The webinar training on Design for Additive Manufacturing is intended to provide you a detailed overview of different aspects of design concepts as applied to additive manufacturing. You will learn how to utilize the fundamental concepts of design for additive manufacturing, how to maximize the utilization of standards developed to improve additive manufacturing designs, and how these design concepts can be used for different applications.

This webinar is intended for Design engineers, Manufacturing Engineers, Research Engineers, Product designers, AM technicians, and CAD operators.
David Rosen is a Professor in the School of Mechanical Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology. Additionally, he is the Research Director of the Digital Manufacturing and Design Centre at the Singapore University of Technology & Design. He received his Ph.D. at the University of Massachusetts in mechanical engineering. His research interests lie at the intersection of design, manufacturing, and computing with specific focus on additive manufacturing (AM), computer-aided design, and design methodology. He has industry experience, working as a software engineer at Computervision Corp. and a Visiting Research Scientist at Ford Research Laboratories. He is a Fellow of ASME and has served on the ASME Computers and Information in Engineering Division Executive Committee. He serves as the chair of the ASTM F42.04 subcommittee on design for additive manufacturing. In 2013, he received the Solid Freeform Fabrication Symposium, International Freeform and Additive Manufacturing Excellence (FAME) Award. He is the coauthor of a leading textbook in the AM field.
Dr Eujn Pei is the Director for Postgraduate Research, and Director for Product Design Engineering at Brunel University London in the United Kingdom. His research focuses on Design for Additive Manufacturing (DfAM) and 4D Printing. He has a strong track record of generating new knowledge and finding solutions with a significant impact in the industry, being active in Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTP) with companies. He chairs the British Standards Institute AMT/8 committee that publishes standards for Additive Manufacturing. He is the Convenor for the International Organization for Standardization ISO/TC261/WG4 that develops global standards for Additive Manufacturing Data and Design; and also chairs ISO/TC261/JG67 that focuses on Functionally Graded Additive Manufacturing. Eujin is a Chartered Engineer (CEng) and a Chartered Technological Product Designer (CTPD) with the Institution of Engineering Designers. He is the Editor-in-Chief for the Progress in Additive Manufacturing Journal.
