About the Course
As construction materials testing (CMT) laboratory and/or field personnel, you are required to perform various mathematical calculations. This course introduces laboratory and field personnel to common symbols and mathematical calculations.
Learning Outcomes
By the end of this course, you will be able to:
- Determine the density or unit weight of a concrete mixture
- Recall the values required to calculate the yield of concrete
- Calculate the cement content in a batch
- Determine the air content of concrete using the pressure method, volumetric method, and gravimetric method
Audience
This course is intended for new Construction Materials Technicians who need to learn the basic math concepts applicable to testing, or as a refresher for experienced professionals.
