Objectives

- Understand the relationship between rolling thickness reduction and length increase of a flat product
- Recognize the importance of rolling direction and its effects on a steel's mechanical properties as applied in ASTM steel standards
- Describe three specialty rolling processes and examples of their application in ASTM Steel Standards
