The purpose of this course is to assure that LSA manufacturers have established and maintained staff that are trained and certified in the use and implementation of industry consensus standards. A student of the course is expected to have intimate knowledge of F37 standards for design, manufacture, quality assurance, continued airworthiness support, maintenance and inspection applicable to their product.

About the Instructor
Adam Morrison, and his company Streamline Designs, provide a variety of engineering, technical, and business consulting services to the aviation industry. He has served the light aircraft industry through standards development, interpretation, application, and training since the beginning of consensus standards development efforts for light aviation. In various leadership roles within the industry, he enjoys bringing together diverse interests for the good of aviation worldwide. He recently received the Daniel A. Schultz Award for significant and outstanding contributions to global standardization by a member of the Light Sport Aircraft community.
About ASTM and Sponsoring Committee
This Committee, F37, addresses issues related to design, performance, quality acceptance tests, and safety monitoring for light sport aircraft (LSA). LSA includes the two categories of aircraft created by the Certification of Aircraft and Airmen for the Operation of Light Sport Aircraft NPRM: (1) special light-sport aircraft (used for personal flight and flight training), or (2) rental and experimental light-sport kit aircraft (any level of kit from zero to 95-percent prebuilt).

Certificate: A certificate is available upon successful completion of the course and an 80% or higher score on the exam.
