This practice covers a procedure for determining the abrasion resistance of printed and unprinted inkjet media using the Sutherland Rub Tester, or its equivalent, equipped with full-width rubber pads and using standardized receptors.
Formerly under the jurisdiction of Committee F05 on Business Imaging Products, this practice was withdrawn in January 2020 in accordance with section 10.6.3 of the Regulations Governing ASTM Technical Committees, which requires that standards shall be updated by the end of the eighth year since the last approval date.
