This test method covered the determination of the amount of water vapor transmission for flexible heat-sealed packages under specified conditions of exposure.
Formerly under the jurisdiction of Committee F02 on Primary Barrier Packaging, this test method was withdrawn in January 2018 in accordance with section 10.6.3 of the Regulations Governing ASTM Technical Committees, which requires that standards shall be updated by the end of the eighth year since the last approval date.
1.1 This test method covers the determination of the amount of water vapor transmission for flexible heat-sealed packages under specified conditions of exposure.
Note 1—Adequate heat-seal efficiency should be determined prior to this test method.
