ABOUT THE EVENT

The Workshop on Current Global Substance Restriction & Standardization Activities in Materials used in Electrical & Electronic Equipment will be held 1:00pm - 5:00pm on Tuesday, April 2, 2019. Sponsored by ASTM Committee F40 on Declarable Substances in Materials, the workshop will be held at the Sheraton Denver Downtown Hotel in Denver, CO, in conjunction with the April standards development meetings of the committee.

Objective

The overall objective is to provide an informative update of the global substance restriction and standardization activities including EU’s REACH, RoHS (EU, China, etc.), US CPSC and others.

Online registration is now open and closes March 27, 2019. There is no fee to attend the workshop.

All attendees, including presenters and ASTM members, are urged to register online for this event so that space requirements can be accommodated. If you do not register online by the closing date, then you must register upon arrival at the workshop. All attendees must check in at the ASTM registration desk upon arrival at workshop.

CONTINUING EDUCATION UNITS

Workshop attendees interested in receiving 0.35 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) should complete a CEU application form at the adjournment of the symposium, and then submit it to the ASTM staff member on site. A certificate will be sent to the attendee approximately 4 to 6 weeks after the symposium.

HOTEL INFORMATION

All meetings will be held at the Sheraton Downtown Denver, 1550 Court Place, Denver, CO 80202.

Hotel Reservations: Staying at our contracted hotel is important to ASTM, to the destination where we are holding this meeting, and ultimately to you as an ASTM member. When you book a hotel outside of the block, and a contracted room goes unsold, we must pay penalty fees to the hotel. Please support ASTM by reserving your sleeping room at our official hotel.Reservations may be made via our online reservation system at Sheraton Downtown Denver.

Select your dates and proceed as instructed. Reservations may also be made by telephoning the hotel at 303-893-3333 (you must mention ASTM in order to receive the group rate). If you need assistance with your hotel reservation, please call the hotel directly.

The discounted rate will be honored until the ASTM block is full, but no later than March 4th, 2019. ASTM rates are $189 plus tax. You may be charged a higher rate if reservations are received after the cut-off date, or when the block is full. The hotel requires a credit card to guarantee your reservation, once submitted a confirmation number will be provided electronically.

The Sheraton Downtown Denver has a limited number of rooms at the government per diem rate of $181. Reservations may be made via our online reservation system at Sheraton Government Reservations. You must present your ID at the front desk upon check-in.

IMPORTANT! ASTM Rates are non-commissionable. If you book your reservation through a travel agent, they must ask for a non-commissioned ASTM Group Rate. ASTM cannot adjust your higher rate if commissions were paid to a travel agency.

CANCELLATION/CHANGE POLICY: At the Sheraton Downtown Denver Hotel, notice of cancellation must be received before end of business day (5pm) prior to day of arrival in order to avoid a charge. Failure to do so will incur a penalty equal to the cost of one night's room and tax.
