ABOUT THE EVENT
The Fifth Symposium on Evaluation of Existing and New Sensor Technologies for Fatigue, Fracture and Mechanical Testing will be held Tuesday and Wednesday, May 25-26, 2021 and beginning at 9:00am EDT each day. Sponsored by ASTM Committees E08 on Fatigue and Fracture and E28 on Mechanical Testing, the symposium will be held virtually.
The symposium will provide a forum for the presentation of current research on existing and new sensor technologies for fatigue, fracture and mechanical testing. It will also serve as an incubator for identifying new opportunities for standardization in related areas.
Topics for this symposium include, but are not limited to:
- Calibration, verification and traceability of the measurement techniques
- Emerging techniques for fatigue, fracture and mechanical testing
- Novel applications of the techniques
The language of the symposium will be English.

All Attendees - You must be registered to attend this symposium. The WebEx link to join the symposium will be distributed approximately one week prior to the start of the symposium to all those who have registered by that time. The email will come directly from a WebEx email address.
Presenters - Presenters do not need to register. ASTM will automatically register them for this event, and they will also receive the WebEx link to join the symposium approximately one week prior to the event.
Students - Students receive a discounted fee. To qualify for this discount, you must be a full-time student, not employed full-time and be able to provide a valid university email address for registration. CONTINUING EDUCATION UNITS
Symposium attendees interested in receiving 0.9 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) should complete a CEU application form in the back of the program booklet after the adjournment of the symposium and submit it to firstname.lastname@example.org. Attendees will only receive credit if they are registered and attend the entire symposium on both days. After your attendance has been verified, a certificate will be sent to the attendee approximately 2-4 weeks after the application has been submitted.
