In light of COVID-19 (coronavirus) and our priority for the health and welfare of our members and staff, ASTM International has decided that it is inadvisable and impractical to hold the committee meetings in Prague on April 27-May 1. The decision was based on several factors, including, but not limited to:
Staff managers will be contacting committee leaders to plan alternatives for conducting committee business. For any committees that collected money for events, ASTM will work to issue refunds as necessary. Attendees are responsible for cancelling their own hotel reservations.

The Fourteenth International Symposium on Flammability and Sensitivity of Materials in Oxygen-Enriched Atmospheres will be held Wednesday-Friday, April 13-15, 2016. Sponsored by ASTM Committee G04 on Compatibility and Sensitivity of Materials in Oxygen Enriched Atmospheres. The symposium will be held at the Grand Hyatt San Antonio in San Antonio, TX, in conjunction with the April standards development meetings of Committee G04.
The purpose of this symposium is to provide a forum for the presentation and discussion of peer-reviewed papers on topics related to fire hazards in oxygen, oxygen-enriched environments and other oxidizer systems. Relevant topics include oxygen fire hazards and incidents, materials flammability and compatibility, ignition mitigation strategies, and good practices that improve the safety and reliability of oxygen, oxygen-enriched and non-oxygen oxidizer systems and components.
The language of the symposium will be English.

Online registration opens approximately 8 weeks before the symposium and closes April 6, 2016. The fees to attend this symposium are listed below. These fees include:
-the Wednesday evening reception (cash bar),
-the Thursday dinner (cash bar),
-the cost of the resulting Selected Technical Papers (STP) which will be sent to all symposium attendees. The STP is a printed volume of peer-reviewed symposium papers.
Students – A student's fee is waived, provided that he/she is a full-time student and is not employed full time. After registering online, the student must check in at the ASTM Registration Desk on site and present his/her student ID. The waived fee includes admission to the technical sessions, but does not include the STP, reception, or dinner described above.
All attendees, including presenters and ASTM members, are urged to register online for this event so that space requirements can be accommodated. If you do not register online by the closing date, then you must register upon arrival at the symposium. All attendees must check in at the ASTM registration desk upon arrival at symposium.

Symposium attendees interested in receiving 1.75 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) should complete a CEU application form at the adjournment of the symposium, and then submit it to the ASTM staff member on site. A certificate will be sent to the attendee approximately 4 to 6 weeks after the symposium.

PARKING: The hotel provides valet parking at a cost of $39 daily while self parking has a cost of $29 daily.
Attendees have the option to determine their dress at ASTM meetings. Business casual attire is acceptable at this meeting and appropriate for San Antonio. The average temperatures in April range from a high of 81 degrees to a low of 58 degrees.
