This workshop will discuss practitioner experiences, current industry practices, and supporting data/examples for incorporating residual stresses into structural design and sustainment. Additionally, conversation will focus on how this information could be incorporated into the ASTM Committee E08.04.06 Best Practices Document.

Workshop attendees interested in receiving 0.7 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) must complete the CEU application form in the back of the program booklet and submit it to an ASTM staff member on site. You must be registered and have attended the entire workshop in order to receive the CEU’s. A certificate will be sent to the attendee approximately 4 to 6 weeks after the workshop.

PUBLIC TRANSIT: The most convenient transit option to the Boston Marriott Copley place, from the Boston Logan International Airport is to travel using the Logan Express bus service. The Logan Express will pick-up and drop off travelers from terminals A, B, C and E. From the terminal you will take the Back Bay bus route. The station closest to the Boston Marriott Copley Place is the Back Bay stop, about a 5 minute walk through the Copley Place Mall to the hotel. Cost per ticket is $3.
