Participation Requested for Hang Gliding Tandem Harnesses Effort

Tandem harnesses for hang gliding flights will be addressed by a task group in ASTM Committee F37 on Light Sport Aircraft. Subcommittee F37.70 on Cross Cutting invites interested stakeholders to join the effort, which will develop equipment standards for various harnesses to be used in tandem hang gliding flight, and welcomes input from equipment manufacturers, pilots and other users, government agencies and academia.

Committee F37, which was established in 2002, was organized to develop consensus standards for the design, operation and maintenance of light sport aircraft. Standards will help ensure safety, provide guidance in design and testing, and ultimately raise the quality of the industry.
