To view your committee schedule, use the convenient link on this meeting page. Approximately two weeks prior to the meeting, meeting room names will be added to the schedule.
You must be registered to attend ASTM Meetings. Use our online registration form where you have the ability to register for multiple events, pay fees in advance using a credit card, and receive an electronic confirmation. You may register online at the "Register" link above.
When you preregister online, you will receive emails on committee meetings, final announcements, and other information that will help you prepare for your meeting. The registration information significantly assists us in preparations for the committee week.
The cut-off for preregistration is Wednesday, March 29, 2017. After this date please register on-site at the ASTM Registration Desk at the Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel.
All meetings will be held at the Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel,123 Queen Street West Toronto, Ontario M5H 2M9, Canada. Reservations may be made via our online reservation system at Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel Reservations.
Select your dates and proceed as instructed. Reservations may also be made by telephoning the hotel at (416)361-1000 or 1-800-325-3535 (you must mention ASTM April 2017 in order to receive the group rate). If you need assistance with your hotel reservation, please call the hotel directly.
Group rate will be honored until the ASTM block is full but no later than March 5, 2017. ASTM rates are $178 (US) plus tax. You may be charged a higher rate if reservations are received after the cut-off date, or when the block is full.The hotel requires a credit card to guarantee your reservation, once submitted a confirmation number will be provided electronically.
IMPORTANT! ASTM Rates are non-commissionable. If you book your reservation through a travel agent, they must ask for a non-commissioned ASTM Group Rate. ASTM cannot adjust your higher rate if commissions were paid to a travel agency.
CANCELLATION/CHANGE POLICY: At the Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel, notice of cancellation must be received 24 hours prior to day of arrival in order to avoid a charge.

INTERNET: The hotel offers complimentary wireless connections in the guest rooms for SPG Members.
ASTM MEMBERS WORK AREA: ASTM will provide computers with internet connections. This area will also be wireless for your laptop computer. You may visit the ASTM website, apply or renew your membership, order publications or check your email. The complimentary wireless service is limited to the members' work area and the meeting rooms.

AIRPORT SHUTTLE SERVICE:
Shuttle transportation to and from the Toronto Pearson International Airport is available for a fee by a variety of Shuttle and Bus Services.Reservations are required. To make a reservation online, visit Toronto Pearson International Airport Out-of-Town Shuttle. Taxis cost approximately $46 one way. UP Express (Train from Airport to City): Union Pearson Express (UP Express) connects Canada’s two busiest transportation hubs: Toronto Pearson International Airport and Union Station in downtown Toronto. UP Express trains depart every 15 minutes and the journey takes just 25 minutes. First train departs Pearson Station at 05:27 and last train at 00:57. The one-way adult fare between Toronto Pearson International Airport and downtown Toronto is $12.00. The UP Pearson Station is located right beside the blue Link Train at Terminal 1, connecting travellers to Terminal 3. ASTM TRAINING SESSIONS
ASTM staff will provide several training sessions on various subjects to educate and assist officers, members and non-members of ASTM committees. The following topics will be discussed:
Workshop: Introduction to the Interlaboratory Study Program (ILS)
Monday, 12:00pm - 1:00pm
Wednesday, 8:00am - 9:00am
This module is designed to familiarize members with the ILS Program, its features, benefits, capabilities, and the online registration process. Research Reports will also be specifically addressed during the session. This workshop will benefit anyone planning to run (or participate in) an interlaboratory study to generate a precision statement for a new or existing ASTM test method. Presented by Phillip Godorov and Caitlin Farrell, ASTM ILS Staff.

Please feel free to drop by and ask questions about, or brainstorm ideas for, your upcoming interlaboratory studies. ILS Representatives will also be available to review the status of your current interlaboratory studies and help you plan the next steps. Sessions are open to all, and no appointments are needed.
International Participant Orientation (Monday) 12:00pm - 1:00pm
Meeting attendees are cordially invited to a special welcome and orientation session centered on international participants. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet other international meeting participants, including ASTM Chairman of the Board Thomas Marsh. This session will provide a very brief introduction to ASTM, its activities, process, electronic tools and international outreach that connect you to ASTM's global network of experts and information. There will also be ample time to ask any questions. Facilitated by ASTM staff, this session provides new and experienced international members and visitors a chance to connect at the beginning of the Committee Week.
ASTM Learning- Expert Online, Live & Mobile Learning Solutions (Monday) 12:00pm - 1:00pm
Do you have questions about the types of training services offered by ASTM International? If so, this session is for you.During this one hour presentation, we will overview the benefits of our training program and how our industry leading products help solve customer problems in the environmental market.We will also discuss the 2017 roadmap for new development, product enhancements and features. This session can benefit anyone responsible for ensuring that environmental regulations, EPA and State requirements are executed.There will also be 15 minutes reserved for Q & A and requests.
Registering a Work Item and Launching a Collaboration Area (Tuesday) 12:00pm-1:00pm
This module will review the steps required to register a Work Item, elaborating on what a Work Item is in ASTM. Next, the session will explore the ASTM Collaboration Area. ASTM Staff will address how to launch a Collaboration Area, upload documents to the site, invite new members to the Collaboration Area, as well as highlighting other functionalities of the Collaboration Area.
3D Figures in Standards Demonstration (Tuesday - Thursday) 9:00am-10:30am and 2:30pm-4:30pm
Please feel free to stop by and see this demonstration on publishing 3D figures in standards in the registration area from Tuesday April 4th to Thursday April 6th. Prototypes will be available in Virtual Reality on two Oculus Rift headsets as well as on Windows, Mac, iOS, Android, and Web. ASTM is excited to take your feedback and learn how your committee can use 3D publishing to enhance standards as we prepare research for our board to review. Your feedback will help ASTM decide how to move forward on next generation technologies!
Developing and Revising an ASTM Standard (Wednesday) 12:00pm-1:00pm
During this joint Technical Committee Operations and Editorial module, we will review both new and revised standards as they go through the development and publication process. We will cover how standard ideas are introduced, drafted,and publicized as well as review ASTM's electronic tools and time-tested techniques for accelerating the development of your standard. Included in the workshop will be a brief review of work items registration, the three stages of balloting, and an explanation of the key roles of your editor and the standard’s technical contact.
Refreshments will be available at all sessions.

COMMITTEE ACTIVITY FEES
Several ASTM committees collect a voluntary fee to support activities associated within the committee such as awards, social events, etc. Each committee determines the amount and encourages your contribution. The activity fee can be paid online in advance on the preregistration page. This voluntary contribution is not an ASTM International society fee.
Several committees hold planned banquet events. You have the ability to purchase your tickets online in advance on the preregistration page. Your tickets will be available on-site at the Registration Area.
COMPLIMENTARY SUPPORT SERVICES
ASTM meetings offer on-site services from the ASTM staff. We provide photocopying service, audio/visual equipment, and a members' work area with complimentary internet computers. We also have an editor on-site to assist you with the form and style of standards, editorial changes and first drafts of standards.
CERTIFICATES OF ATTENDANCE - Certificates of Attendance are available to all attendees. You can retrieve a copy on-line and there are copies at the ASTM registration desk. Please take this completed document to the ASTM registration desk for a Stamp of Approval.
Join your elected officers and staff for a continental breakfast on Wednesday at 7:00am sharp at the Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel. At this breakfast, you will hear an update on ASTM and have an opportunity to ask questions or share your comments. You may pick up your ticket at the ASTM Registration Desk.
Join us for coffee and breakfast pastries Monday through Thursday from 8:30am to 9:30am at the Shertaon Centre Toronto Hotel. Attendees have the option to determine their dress at ASTM meetings. Business casual attire is acceptable at this meeting and appropriate for Toronto. The average temperatures in April range from a high of 46 degrees fahrenheit to a low of 32 degrees fahrenheit.
