Proposed Method of Measurement for Appearance of Rolled Aluminum Surfaces Using Distinctness of Image and Diffuse Reflectance Measuring Instruments

Source

1.1 This method provides values for four independently variable surface characteristics that can be used to describe precisely the appearance of rolled aluminum surfaces. This method is applicable to finishes ranging from mill sheet to luster sheet, from utility foil to decorative foil, as well as bright anodized surfaces. 1.2 Color is not included as an appearance characteristic, nor are random surface defects identified using this method.
