    A study was made in an effort to survey and classify the most important methods for particle size measurement. A comparison was made of the various types of apparatus on the basis of particle size range, operator skill, first cost, time required for determination, and other factors of usefulness. The following is a greatly condensed version of a report resulting from this study.
