Measurement of Density of Uranium Metal by Radiation Absorption

Source

Since all impurities normally encountered in uranium metal have densities lower than that of the base metal, the density of massive metal samples is an index of metal quality. A method of accurately determining density is desired that has a precision of one part in one thousand.
