    Abstract

    The problem of creep fracture under an imposed cyclic stress is considered solely in terms of wedge crack growth. The derivation of a relationship similar to that suggested by Coffin for fatigue is illustrated, and this simple model is extended qualitatively to outline one form of a creep:fatigue interaction.
