Control of Moisture Migration in Light Frame Walls

Source

There is a serious need for better control of moisture in wall constructions. A number of currently used moisture control systems were evaluated under controlled laboratory conditions. Results indicated that systems of moisture barriers which were continuous by design or method of installation, or systems which allowed free passage to the exterior, were twice as effective in reducing moisture build-up within the walls as the other commonly used systems.
