Effect of Fuel Properties on Ignition and Combustion Limits in Gas Turbine Combustors

Source

This review of reported ignition and stability phenomena indicates that the introduction of alternative fuels may create major problems for nonpremixed fuel systems unless measures are taken to prevent any increase in droplet size. Some methods for prediction of the effects of changes in fuel on the minimum ignition energy, blowout velocity, and weak extinction limit are given.
