Chapter 10—Maintenance and Spares Analyses

Source

Chapter 1 states that the level of design quality bears significantly upon the ability to repair, maintain, and restore the product to operational status. Therefore, quality systems must be established (for implementation during the design phase) to help to achieve design quality with regard to product repairability, maintainability, and restorability. Such systems are often referred to as “maintenance task analysis” and “spares provisioning analysis.”
