Neoprene (Polychloroprene) Membranes

Source

Neoprene (polychloroprene) sheet has proven successful as a waterproof membrane in the construction industry. The general category of waterproof membranes includes between-slab plaza deck waterproofing, below-grade vertical wall waterproofing, bridge deck membrane between the structural deck and paving course, as well as exposed membranes such as roofing and substrate protection. Identification and interpretation of specific physical properties relate to successful product selection. One approach to product selection through testing is described as potential membrane waterproofing for bridge decks that are screened. In addition to product selection, installation procedures, details of expansion joints, penetration, and terminations are critical to successful performance of the membrane.
