Sealant Usage for Exterior Insulation and Finish Systems

Source

Finish coat delamination is a prime reason for sealant joint failure in certain Exterior Insulation & Finish Systems (EIFS). Several factors contribute to the delamination process and subsequent failure at sealant joints. General design, specification and application procedures for sealant joints on EIFS are discussed with specific recommendations for avoiding this common cause of failure.
