    A brief discussion of the nature and design of polymer-modified microsurfacing materials is followed by a study comparing the resilient modulus of field cores from a rut-filling project with laboratory-generated cores of a similar nature. Resilient modulus testing was performed at temperatures ranging from -30 to 100°F (-34.4 to 37.8°C) on cores cut from two different projects. The cores consisted of modified and control sections. Laboratory cores based on the polymer-modified product were made using three curing and compaction schemes; an unmodified set of controls was prepared also. Data comparing the resilient modulus characteristics and core densities of field sections and laboratory cores are presented. Finally, creep modulus data for the field modified and control sections are presented.
