Assessment of Current Chemical Compatibility Test Methods Used to Evaluate Geotextile, Geonets and Pipe

Source

Chemical compatibility testing of geosynthetics material used in waste management facilities is necessary to assess the compatibility of these materials with the liquid they will contact. EPA Method 9090 only addresses specific test methods to be used for geomembranes. Geosynthetic testing laboratories have adapted this method to test geotextiles, geonets, and pipe. Current test practices for these materials are reviewed. Advantages and disadvantages to specific methods are discussed.
