Hole Effect and Compression Fatigue of T300/N5208 Composite Materials

Source

Mechanical testing of notched high-performance composites were performed in compression. The compact tension specimen is modified to be used in compression loading. It is shown that the strain energy released rate is an appropriated criteria in compression. A model of the fatigue damage zone is proposed.
