    A. PURPOSE The purpose of this chapter is to provide general guidelines for the use of low expansion, medium expansion, and compressed air foam (CAFS) Class B alcohol-resistant aqueous film-forming foam (ARAFFF) applications for fire and vapor suppression in response to liquid spills and liquid spill fires involving chlorosilanes. This chapter provides suggestions and guidelines for development and use of portable foam delivery systems. In addition, the hazards associated with using water-only applications on chlorosilane spills and fires are highlighted.
