Rationale

This standard identifies the requirements for manufacturers, wholesaler distributors, retailers, and dispensers (operators) to maintain appropriately controlled and monitored storage conditions for packaged resin cannabis products to protect product quality and integrity. The appropriate controlled temperature and humidity conditions are addressed to maintain product quality and integrity. The storage area must be maintained to be clean and free from condensation, sewage, dust, dirt, chemicals, or other contaminants. Improper storage and handling of packaged resin cannabis products may result in product damage, contamination, adulteration, degradation or other loss of integrity that may affect the quality, purity and potency of the products, ultimately affecting the public.
