    Rationale

    At the recent D01.46 committee meeting, concerns arose surrounding touching of the blasted substrate while preforming the test method. Currently, Method A allows for comparison to be done with the unaided eye, under 5 to 10 power magnification, or by touch. It was agreed that all present that the reference to or by touch should be removed, and that the comparator should be used only visually or with magnification.
