    Development of a new test method to determine the longitudinal flexibility of corrugated single wall and flexible lined corrugated pipe.

    Rationale

    Corrugated single wall pipe, and more recently corrugated pipe with internal liners are being installed with tile plows which require the pipe to bend around a radius. Furthermore, these types of pipe products are being stored and shipped in coils. It is necessary to establish a test method to determine the longitudinal flexibility and resistance to bending to prevent pipe damage and safety concerns. The standard will be used by pipe producers to test their products. The pipe producers will use the results to inform purchasers of the handling requirements.
